Quote Pal from globeinvestor.com
Quote Pal features a free and easy way for you to stay on top of the price performance of up to five of your favorite stocks and/or indexes throughout the trading day. Quote Pal shows the current price of each stock (at least 15 minutes delayed) and is automatically updated every five minutes. You can click on any of three icons for an item to get the complete picture from globeinvestor.com.
Using Quote Pal
- Click your mouse in the Symbol input area.
- Enter up to five valid stock symbols.
- Click Update. From that point on, your stocks will be monitored.

Stock Symbols
Symbols are composed of the ticker symbol and an exchange code (e.g., BCE-T, IBM-N, MSFT-Q, DJIA-I, TTT-I). If you don't know a symbol, look it up here. If you close Quote Pal down and restart it later, the same set of symbols will be automatically loaded for you. The timestamp at the bottom of the Quote Pal window lets you know the time of the last update.
Changing Symbols
If you want to change one or more symbols, click in the Symbol box, delete a symbol, then add another.
Quote Pal on your Desktop
To keep Quote Pal visible on your screen while you work on another application, move Quote Pal to a corner of your screen, then reduce the size of the other application. Otherwise you can bring Quote Pal to the forefront by clicking on it from the toolbar at the bottom of your screen if it gets covered by that other application.
